In April of 2003 a group of film enthusiasts and skilled professionals gathered together to create the first of a series of annual events revolving around a new RED WASP FILM FESTIVAL.  Owning to the famous legend of the "swallows returning to the California mission of San Juan Capistrano every March" so do the red wasps return to Wellborn, Texas every April.  In their honor the film festival was named.

Solicitations amazed us and entries flooded faster than political rumors and we audited each film, accepted or rejected and moved forward to providing a venue for independents to show their work.  22 finalist films were shown over a 2 day period and crowds appeared.  Soon after, requests for film shoots were flowing in and crews showed up.  To date 7F has been in a number of independent films and is quite active in the Texas film market opening festival winners to new and promising venues.
